Alexa Chung - IT

October 29th is the North American release date of Alexa Chung's new book "IT"! 

 I am super pumped, and pretty sure that she has popped up in almost every magazine I have purchased in the last month... Vogue, Flare, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Lucky... she is everywhere,  which must mean she has a good publicist. 

The book features everything from inspirational photos she loves, to how-to's, all with the undertone of her cheeky and corky personality. She first caught my eye when I found out she was dating Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys, even though their no longer together, I still love her!

Kate Bosworth for TOPSHOP - Round #2

YAYYYY!!! 

If your anything like me and missed the first collection Kate Bosworth did for Topshop in the spring (see above), then sigh no more because you can possibly manage to snag a piece from the second collection, set to release this fall. 

During an interview with Grazia Magazine, Kate describes the collection as an extension of her personal aesthetic - a mix between masculine and feminine. She wanted to "balance a neat, clean line with an oversized shape."Grazia states that collection includes pieces such as "immaculately cut trousers in rock-star ready shades of black, white, and red, crinkle finish silver tees and sharp but simple coats."

From what I gather the collection is definitely on-trend - and I look forward to getting me some!

"David Bowie Is" Exhibit @ AGO

A few weeks ago I checked out the much anticipated "David Bowie Is" exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario. I must say it was fantastic, but make sure you go with a substantial amount of time, I made the mistake of going on the first Friday of the exhibit at 4:00 pm.... bad idea. 

Regardless of the fact that it was super crowded and I only had 90 minutes, it was so inspirational and mind opening to see how much Bowie has accomplished in his lifetime. His music is just the tip of the ice berg, he is a true artist with a meaningful message that he managed to express through multiple art forms. Be sure to check it out, it's only in Toronto till November 27.
